PRESS: Ireland’s CityJet to return Russia’s SSJ100 planes

MOSCOW, Feb 18 (PRIME) -- Irish airline CityJet, the only European operator of Russia’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) planes, is returning seven jets to VEB.RF, business daily Vedomosti reported Monday citing sources.

The company stopped mentioning seven SSJ100 jets it received in leasing in 2016–2017 in the fleet section on its website, the daily said.

CityJet makes flights on its planes for other airlines, and all its SSJ100 planes flied on the route network of Brussels Airlines.

Sources said that VEB-Leasing could now supply part of these planes to airline Azimuth for its new project of corporate transportation. One of the sources also said that VEB-Leasing is also considering remarketing these jets to Slovenian national airline Adria.
